Some Layouts & some ramblings......

This is my layout for last weeks sketch over at Scrapzbiz.

and just some other layouts over the last couple of weeks.

Think I might have a slight obsession with banners. Love em.

I reguarly get little notes like this & I always forget to share them.
(This is from georgie, she writes them to me & to Daddy. She is so sensitive & loving. She also draws all the time & reads like there is no tomorrow.)

(Lucia is always doodling, drawing & claims she wants to be an artist when she grows up)

Both the girls are quite arty, have no idea where they got that from, but we have had comments quite a lot about their artwork. Mmmmm bit like the dancing gene, pretty sure that skipped a generation!!! LOL. You know one mother actually asked Ruth if we took Lucia to art lessons, I mean seriously, she's 5. Get a grip. So many people are so willing to push & prod their kids & place HUGE expectations on them. I would just like them to be happy, healthy & have a childhood. They have plenty of time to grow up and deal with all that later on. So if you have lasted this long without chocolate, woohoo. Ramblings of a mama who probably needs some sleep.

Happy Friday.

Where is She.......

a little voice I hear.......Mama come find me??? Of course the other girls are in on it, saying Mum where's Livvy?? She is amazingly quiet (for Livvy) so this is what I find......

mmmm still playing the game......Livvy where are you?? now usually I hear little giggles etc but nope quiet as a mouse!!! LOL

She is the funniest kid. She has done this since she was really little, hiding herself in places. I have a photo of her hiding in a footstool at church. I have had a really big week this week so just wanted to keep it light. Remember life is short, make sure you make the most of every moment!!!

Happy Hump Day.

Loving this

blog at the moment......

They are pretty funny and even though some of it is not me, it does make me realise that I so have to get over my fear & loathing of journalling to leave the girls something that they can read & know me a little better. I have wanted to do a book of me for a long time, but I hate photos of myself & am a retard when it comes to journalling, oh well will put that on my to do list. I really want the girls to know that sometimes life isn't easy, advice on how to do some things, & maybe save them some experiences they really don't need to go through. They will probably want to make their own mistakes, but as women we are called to train & help the younger generations (that definately counts my daughters). Hopefully they will want some insight into me & how I was while they were growing up. Hoping that it won't be fodder for them later on. LOL

So that's my share, nothing interesting today. Liv has a fluey thing & the girls are at school. I miss them some days & wish I could get motivated today to make the most of my time. My to do list is growing at a rapid rate!!!

Happy Thursday.

Ooops I did it again

So once again I have neglected my blog.

To say I have been distracted is an understatement. My mum has just had major surgery, ant is still home recovering, I am contemplating my future direction and I am tired!!!!

Happy thursday back soon.

Will leave you with a random photo from our camping. Ant & girls canoes 8 km at bundjalung national park. It was Man vs Wild all over!!! Lol

Busy Busy Busy

I know that everyone is busy so I have no excuse. There is part of me that loves doing this blog & another part of me that says it is just another thing on my to do list.
I have been looking for work & for the last 4 weeks before we went to Canberra I was working in the Sunbird shop. It was fun. A change from anything I have ever really done before & it was refreshing to be able to walk out the door & not have to think about it. They have also asked me to teach which also bought mixed emotions. I think I would rather just work in the shop but I have given it a go & for the last 2 weeks I have been teaching. In a word, LOVE!! I just loved it. Although I am not super confident about my scrapping, teaching people about something I love doing was really fun. No I may not be raking in the big dollars, but hey I already have the product & getting out around people was really nice. Mum came (she is like my little critic) and I had 3 other people in my class!!! Can you believe that. Soooo cool.
So here is some sneak peeks of new ones I am doing in the coming weeks. If you feel like doing a class why not book in??!! Wednesday class is called 'About A Bull' & is a layout & a card.

And this is next weeks class using Little Yellow Bicycle Papers (gorgeous) & my new fawn lawn stamps. Love em.

The girls are back to school next monday, so I have another whole week with them. I am going to miss them. Although they love school they are not super excited about going back. They love being at home with us. Anthony is recovering well & the physio says he is way ahead on his recovery. (couldn't expect anything else now could we!!!!) We have been making the most of our time with the girls & as I write they are off fishing, hopefully catching some more dinner for us!!!

I also had the privilege of shooting a friends wedding on Saturday. I have to say photographers definately earn their money!! Although it was fun, challenging & rewarding, am not 100% sure it is something I would like to do. Mmmm more thinking on that one. Will post some of those shots soon.

Happy Tuesday

Things I Miss

Canberra is a beautiful city, there is no denying that!! There is a few things that I have actually missed here apart from Dad & our friends here.

Delicious delis

Amazing cakes

The whole coffee/cafe thing. Plus the shops are pretty cool. (although we have just as good if not better and great bargains)

Shops like these (we don't have a lot of these ....

And also great indoor stuff
(took the girls to the AIS where Dad works & Ant was on scholarship)....

They loved it. So weird being back there after 18 years!!!

Today we are going to catch up with some more friends as well as tripping around the city. So cool, we are mega social butterflies. When I get home I think I will be a hermit as I will be all talked out!! Lol

Back soon with more photos!! I know I know I am posting up a storm.
