HELP..............please.......
I haven't been able to post as I have felt sick, sad at the floods that have happened in my state. We have friends and family that have been directly affected. Please go to any of these and help in anyway that you can..........Queensland needs you.........show them how awesome Australians are......
she also has other links for other worthwhile contributions, and although I am not quick at quilting I am going to help how I can.
Also thanks to my beautiful friend there is also this great opportunity for all you scrapbookers......
Like most Australians, I have been watching in shock and great sadness as the Queensland flooding disaster has unfolded over the past few weeks. So much devastation and destruction and loss - it's just heartbreaking and difficult to comprehend the enormity of what has been happening just over the border there in Queensland.
I decided that I wanted to help - somehow, in some way.. and so I have created this online workshop "Smile" with ALL proceeds from this class to be donated to the Premier's Flood Relief Appeal. Simply book into the workshop between 14-24 January 2011 and all monies raised will be donated to the Appeal.
The workshop itself is a step by step layered, stitched, painted and arty type single scrapbooking layout project using a single 4x6inch photo that makes you smile. This is an INSTANT class which means all information you need to complete the project is ready to go at your fingertips.
Help us spread the word and we hope you will join us in the classroom at the very special discount price of only $5.00 registration.
I have registered, come on register and help Queensland today!!!!!

One Little Word .............2011
this word actually found me this year (we will have lots of change whether I like it or not LOL) & after chatting with my lovely friend decided that maybe this year I need two that went together so my other is embrace, so the two go together.....embrace change.........
- in my family life (we will see many changes with the girls & ourselves this year as we have decided to homeschool)
- in my attitudes
- in my health/fitness/eating habits
- in our finances
- in my relationships
- in my time management/organisation
We will see what this year brings but I am open with expectation, excitement, a little nervousness & plenty of faith. There is a saying of Kobi Yamada "She went out on a limb, had it break off behind her, and discovered she could fly!!.....and also another favourite of mine from
Isaiah 40:31 " But those that Hope in the Lord will renew their strength, they will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and now grow weary, they will walk and not be faint....."
I am believing that for us this year. Happy 2011.

Some of My Favourites of 2010.........
Stinkerbell {Using fancy pants paper}
About a bull {using some of my favourites October Afternoon}
2nd Tooth {using Basic Grey Paper}
I started teaching at Creative Scrapbooking and love it. It is a challenge but I am getting my craft on slowly but surely. I did have some other layouts but I can't find my photos {just in the process of transferring them all to a hard drive}.
I made my first quilt.
{I used a mixture of Sandi Henderson & Amy butler fabrics}
Livvy turned 4
Lulu turned 6
Georgie turned 8
Spent 7 weeks with these beautiful people {miss you guys sooo much}
Went to a HUGE scrapbook convention in the Mall of America & met Kelly Purkey, with these two gorgeous girls.
Ant and I celebrated 18 years of marriage. {Booya!!}
Spent lots of time with my Mum {sorry Mum no photos we will have to fix that this year} and with
Dad when he came up at chrissy. {Will share some photos later}.
There is probably so much more and I have probably forgotten, but that is a roundup of my year. I am hoping 2011 will bring us many more beautiful memories & obviously challenges, that is normal in this life. I pray that this year you will be blessed beyond measure & that there will be nothing put in your path that you cannot handle.

so an update.....
everyone has been nagging me to update.....LOL....so here is a quick update. We had an awesome christmas but all the days seem to have rolled into one. We have Dad here, friends from Paris, friends from Canberra, it was our 18th wedding anniversary.......etc etc so it has been busy on the socialising at the Brewin household. I have much to share but at the moment cannot share it. Just to say there will be many changes in the Brewins this year. As I haven't edited any photos I will just leave you with this one......it is my present from my dearest friend
She is so clever, inspiring and always knows just what to get me. The frame she got me is so true......soul sisters. I have quite a few friends, but only a few who are really close, she is one of them. We have a lot in common and like spending time crafting, laughing, plus our kids get on great. Although I have only known her two years it seems like we have known each other forever. She will be a lifelong friend I know it.
So not much else here that I can share anyway......Dad is taking us out for dinner for New Years Eve, so we are all excited about that. Hoping you have an awesome 2011, be back soon.
PS on a more sombre note could you please pray for this precious girl Emma, her family have been through so much & it looks like her tumour has returned. She needs a miracle. You can follow her progress on the above link.

Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas......& the {real} reality
- I am only slightly organised for Christmas {well pressies are done, just need to be wrapped & put under tree}, still have to go grocery shopping with all the hoards of people on Christmas Eve.
- Thanks to some thoughtful people at church, two of the girls are sick, oh what fun!!
- Am looking forward to Anthony having the whole of Christmas off {first one in 8 years} & my Dad coming up from Canberra {we love our time with him}
- Am really trying not to miss my family in the USA
- Realizing that some of my expectations at this time will not be met, am finally getting over it and am setting about starting my {own} family traditions & memories.
- I LOVE christmas but it is hard to keep that christmas spirit with so many crazy people around
- Am loving being creative {having the time} to use up some of that material & scrapping stash it always satisfies my soul to create. I have a new crush, it is called "jelly rolls" & "layer cakes"
- Am treasuring the time with the girls in this beautiful season, soaking up their excitement, wonder & sheer joy at the little things. I am so thankful for them.
